See the results of the filmmaking challenge as issued to Calgary's filmmaking community. This underground bonanza of local film gets better and better each year. The 2011 CALGARY FILMMAKERS CHALLENGE supports the spirit of low budget, DIY filmmaking and celebrates the local thriving film community.
The challenge is simple: Calgary's filmmaking talent were challenged to make a short film ALL OF WHICH MUST USE THE SAME BASIC NARRATIVE/THEMATIC CRITERIA. It's the Iron Chef of film challenges with a less emphasis on the time limit to produce the film but with the same scintillating results.
The 4 criteria for this year are:
1. THEME: Based on true events
2. CHARACTER: Mime
3. RANDOM: Butt cheeks
4. TECHNICAL ELEMENT: Inverted shot
